Welcome Dr. Aiden McGrath!
We are excited to welcome Dr. Aiden McGrath to our team! Dr. McGrath earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University and brings with her a lifelong love of animals and a passion for caring for a wide variety of species.
Growing up, Dr. McGrath was surrounded by animals, including cats, dogs, pocket pets, chickens, and even a tortoise. Her backyard also bordered a dairy cow pasture, further fueling her interest in animals of all shapes and sizes. One of her earliest inspirations came at nine years old, when her veterinarian created a tiny splint for her hamster after he broke his leg. Seeing him recover helped inspire Dr. McGrath to pursue a career where she could one day do the same for other animals.
That passion for caring for animals big and small is something Dr. McGrath is excited to bring to our hospital. In addition to seeing dogs and cats, she will provide in hospital care for goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and geese. Dr. McGrath will also see rabbits and guinea pigs and offer neutering for both species.
No matter the patient, Dr. McGrath’s goal is to help them feel as safe and comfortable as possible. She values working collaboratively with owners to create thoughtful care plans and wants every client to feel heard, informed, and confident when making decisions about their animal’s care.
Originally from Grand Isle, Vermont, Dr. McGrath shares her home with her fiancé, Nick, and their two tuxedo cats, Pumpkin and Poe. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys baking, reading, and playing cozy video games. She is also looking forward to starting her own chicken flock and flower garden once she is settled in the area.
Please join us in giving Dr. McGrath a warm welcome! We are thrilled to have her as part of our team and look forward to introducing her to our clients and patients.
