Nicole Gilmore, DVM
Veterinarian
My journey to veterinary medicine was driven by a lifelong love of animals and a deep curiosity about science. While studying biology in college, I took a mammalian anatomy course taught by a veterinarian, and it was in that moment that everything clicked. I realized veterinary medicine was the perfect way to bring together my interests in science, problem-solving, and caring for animals. I went on to earn my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis.
When I enter an exam room, my goal is to support the wellbeing of every patient while building a genuine connection with each owner. I believe that listening is just as important as diagnosing, and I strive to make sure every client feels heard, understood, and confident in their pet’s care. Creating that sense of trust is a key part of how I practice medicine.
At home, my pets are truly part of my family. I share my life with my husband, our standard poodle Shuri, and our chinchilla Portia. They bring joy, companionship, and perspective to my everyday life, and they remind me why this work matters so much. That same sense of care and appreciation carries into every patient interaction.
